Jazz Residency
Offered during the third and final week of Camp, the Jazz Residency program is for adults and advanced-level youth. Attracting marquee name talent such as Barry Harris, John Scofield and Josh Redman, the Residency program brings students and faculty together in a relaxed setting that encourages personal interaction and fosters camaraderie. Many participants return year after year, building skills and advancing their knowledge of jazz via an intensive menu of masterclasses and special presentations, along with daily practice in small combos led by SJW faculty. As with Jazz Camp, attendance at Festival concerts is included (and strongly recommended). Participants also have additional performance opportunities at the nightly CoHo Jam sessions.
