Jazz Camp
Stanford Jazz Workshop’s Jazz Camp program brings students of all ages, abilities and backgrounds together with the finest jazz performers and educators in the country.  With an emphasis on performance, SJW’s approach is personal and authentic, consistent with jazz’s tradition as a hands-on medium best learned by doing.  Camp participants play in combos assigned based upon skill level, where they can apply theoretical knowledge and experiment with techniques in an environment that provides constructive feedback and encouragement.  Private individual lessons are also included, and students are encouraged to attend concerts presented Sunday through Thursday nights at the Stanford Jazz Festival, which are offered to Camp attendees at no extra cost. A week at Stanford Jazz brings rapid improvement and a new confidence.
