BRAUN MUSIC CENTER
This is Stanford's music facility, which houses offices, classrooms,
practice rooms, rehearsal halls, and two of our concert venues—Campbell
Recital Hall and Dinkelspiel Auditorium—which are described
below. All of the Stanford Jazz Workshop's summer programs take place
within Braun Music Center.
CAMPBELL RECITAL HALL
This is an intimate 218-seat performance and lecture hall with
raised seating and an enclosed sound booth. The size and design
of this
room offer an intimate setting and excellent acoustics.
DINKELSPIEL AUDITORIUM
This hall has 710 seats in a 3/4 semi-circle arrangement, which
allows concert goers to be very close to the stage even from
the last row.
This room has excellent acoustics for its size.
SCHOOL OF EDUCATION
This building includes a 400-seat venue (Cubberley Auditorium)
with a brand new, state-of-the-art projection and sound system.
Please
note that, unlike our other concert venues, this hall is not
located within Braun Music Center. It is a 5 - 10 minute walk
from Braun
across from the Clock Tower. To get there from Braun Music
Center, walk past Dinkelspiel Auditorium, with the Tresidder Memorial
Union on your left, and turn right heading for the Post Office.
Take
a left and walk past the fountain. Proceed down Lasuen Mall
until
just
past the Clock Tower. The School of Education building will
be on your right.
OLD UNION COURTYARD AND KRESGE AUDITORIUM
The Old Union Courtyard and Kresge Auditorium (located inside
the Law School Building) are each a short walk from Braun
Music Center.
