Pianist & SJW Faculty Fred Harris will be in concert with guitarist Lenny Carlson at Braun Music Center on Friday January 29th at 7:30 pm. The program, entitled "Earth Tones: A Fusion Of Jazz & Classical Music" will include works by Debussy, Beethoven and Strayhorn, as well as original compositions by both perfomers. This free event is presented by Stanford Continuing Studies - visit their website for information. You may also download a complete description of the program, with biographies and detailed program notes, in advance by clicking here. Those of you who attended Regina Carter's performance at the Stanford Jazz Festival last season will remember Fred's sensational piano work at that show - he was nothing short of riveting. Fred has an MM in Piano Performance from the SF Conservatory and has been teaching at SJW since the 1990's. Do come out support this fine duo!
